FAQs

Do you travel and to what areas?

I travel all of South East Queensland including: Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Scenic Rim.

Do you service Northern NSW?

Due to the increasing volume of traffic on the commute and the inconvenience of servicing bookings during daylight savings time I no longer service bookings in Northern NSW.

Do you work Sundays and Public Holidays?

No. In order to create work life balance I no longer accept bookings on Sundays or Public Holidays.

What if I’m getting married on a Friday or Saturday but I don’t have 5+ people requiring makeup on my wedding day?

That is ok, it just means you pay the package price relevant to your numbers. For example, if you only have 4 people requiring makeup you would book the Intimate Wedding package. The package prices are the minimum spend required for me to travel to those regions on particular days. Rather than paying per person + travel fees, you are paying for a complete service including trial, travel and my time to be with you on the day of your wedding.

Do you do packages for smaller bridal parties?

My Elopement packages services up to 3 people, however this can only be booked for weddings between Monday-Thursday as I reserve my Friday’s and Saturday’s for larger groups.

Do you bring an assistant?

Not unless absolutely necessary. I prefer to work solo and am very comfortable servicing 6 people without assistance. The only time an assistant will be required is if your getting ready timeframe is very short and we need to work a little more efficiently to have you done on time. Assistant fees will be included in your final invoice if necessary, however I will of course discuss this with you prior.

Can you suggest a hairstylist?

If you book your wedding with me I will provide a comprehensive document outlining all of my favourite brands and businesses that will make your wedding planning a breeze.

Is your price cheaper for a more natural look?

No. Regardless of how subtle or dramatic a makeup look is, I always spend the same amount of time with each of my clients, and use the same high-end makeup products. The price remains consistent for everyone.

How do I touch-up my makeup?

You should purchase a lipstick and powder to have with you on your wedding day. I also suggest you tell your bridesmaids to bring their favourite nude lipstick. I can tell you the best way to touch-up during your makeup trial and after we complete your application on the day of your wedding.

What is the difference between a makeup preview and a makeup trial?

Technically there is no difference - it’s just a wording choice I have chosen to adopt for my business. All of my brides have booked and paid their deposit before their preview, so in my opinion a preview of your makeup is the most accurate description. It would be a trial if you were testing the waters before actually locking in your wedding day.

What does my wedding preview include?

A preview booking includes a thorough consultation to ensure we’re on the same page and know exactly the look you’re imagining. We then complete a full makeup application with false eyelashes and have time at the end to make adjustments if you wish to. Photos are taken and products noted to ensure continuity for your wedding.

Where and when does the makeup preview take place?

Previews are conducted out of my Brisbane studio on weekdays only between 8am and 4pm and I allow 1.5 hours for these appointments. Your trial is best done 2-3 months before your wedding.

Why can’t my makeup trial be done on a weekend?

My weekends are dedicated to servicing my wedding bookings, and being a Makeup Artist that services predominantly the wedding industry, that means most of the time I am fully booked on weekends up to 18-24 months in advance. I also appreciate a rare weekend off sometimes.

How long do your makeup applications take?

I allow 60 minutes per bridesmaid/mum and 60-90 minutes for the bride depending on the look we are doing. If this is not possible due to access times at your getting ready location I may not be able to service your wedding. Otherwise I will suggest you utilise a different space such as an AirBnB or hotel to get ready in or have a second artist/assistant to join us on your wedding morning.

Can I make changes after booking?

You are more than welcome to add people (so long as the total number of clients does not exceed 6 people) however if your numbers decrease the total quoted at initial enquiry will still need to be paid. Please note: if you add people you may fall into a new package or require an earlier start time and will be charged accordingly.

When is payment due?

A 20% non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee will be needed to secure your booking. The remaining balance will be invoiced one month before your wedding with payment due 14 days before your wedding.

Do you travel further than the regions specified in your packages?

I love destination weddings, however these would come with additional fees to cover things like accommodation and flights, so would be discussed on a case by case basis.
